Do you want to help us to promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are currently seeking an Application Engineer to enhance our Vessel Optimization team.
As an Application Engineer, you will work closely with our vessel optimisation systems, continually adapting and configuring solutions for a wide range of different vessels and onboard components. Your work ensures that each individual installation aligns with the specific technical setup of the vessel.
You will be responsible for adjusting configurations using both visual tools and software logic, supporting our commissioning engineers, and verifying functionality through in-office testing. The majority of the configuration work is being transitioned to a visual interface, with only limited coding involved. The role suits someone who enjoys working in a structured and detail-oriented way, and who takes satisfaction in refining solutions that have a direct impact on performance and sustainability.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in marine systems. You may be early in your career or already have relevant experience; what matters most is your motivation to learn and grow within a specialised domain.
· A technical degree and/or relevant experience, for example within marine engineering, automation or electrical systems
· Understanding of onboard vessel systems and components
· Basic knowledge of automation and electrical systems
· Familiarity with serial communication and protocols like Modbus
· Comfortable working in English, both spoken and written
It is beneficial if you have experience with configuration or commissioning of technical systems, experience in software engineering or scripting, or a general understanding of IT infrastructure and networking.
