Full Stack Developer - Team Lead

Do you want to help us to promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are currently seeking a Full Stack Developer, Team Lead, to enhance our Fleet Analytics team.

You will be right at the heart of our Fleet Analytics product suite, which is a Single Page Application, helping shape and grow our web-based analytics and reporting platform end to end. Your work will span everything from the interfaces people use every day to the backend services and APIs that keep the data flowing.

The marine industry is on the edge of a real digital shift. Vessel operators need more real-time insight than ever before. At the same time, this remains a world where safety, security, and tradition run deep, so digital change has to earn its place. That mix of ambition and caution is what makes this such an interesting space to build in, and one where good tools can make a real difference to how ships are actually operated.

This is a functional lead role, not a staff-lead managerial position. You will focus on the team's overall technical development, its work routines, and day-to-day support, rather than formal people management. A Tech Lead is already in place, and you will work closely with them and the rest of the team to keep development running smoothly.

You will report to our Digital Product and Team Manager, and work with colleagues across software development and digital product design, as well as adjacent teams such as embedded developers, project leads, and our innovation department.

· Design, build, and maintain full stack features across our frontend and backend services and APIs

· Support colleagues hands-on: pair-program, review code, and run sprint-related meetings, while championing clear, healthy work routines for yourself and the team

· Contribute to shared solutions with adjacent teams when relevant

· Keep quality high through end-to-end testing, keep solid CI/CD practices, etc.

Strong full stack development experience, (our stack is React, TypeScript, and Storybook on the frontend)

· Backend experience (we do Kotlin, along with SQL and time-series database) including writing and understanding queries

· Experience with API and cloud services, Infrastructure as Code / AWS CDK

· A structured approach to agile work, with clear routines, good planning, and steady delivery for yourself and the team. Experience with ShapeUp? Tell us how you have used it.

· Quality-conscious, with genuine care for performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability

· Interest and hands-on experience in AI-assisted development, such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools, used to move fast without compromising on security, reliability, or careful code review

· Experience building B2B tech platforms or solutions in demanding industries, and previous marine industry experience, is a strong plus, though not required

· A genuine interest in end-user experience, just as much as in writing stable, reliable code
